Hi,

I am the owner of the website http://www.dreamwizardz.com. I have found the the page rank of the website is dropping down with out any reason. It was having a page rank of 5 for all pages, but now reduced to 0 in all pages. I am not using any illegal SEO technique. Also I haven't given any paid link advertisement as well. Can anyone tell me why it happened?

Regards

Dennis Dominic

Hi dennisdominic,

I know google is constantly re-inventing, re-writing, their page ranking algorithm (sic) to make their results more organic, and more natural.

I have lost page rank on some of my old and buried, dead sites, but never to your extent.

I may have a possibility as to the why and it may have nothing to do with your efforts. A google black listed site is linking back to you?

I have read some articles regarding the negative google effects of the said same. I forget the remedy, but it does involve chatting to google directly, and it can be fixed.

Maybe the guys here at SEG can help?

If u have such drop on ur website Don’t be Panic just Wait and Analyze/Research for the problem on how to Improve Your Site with latest updation and then Diversify it. After doing all on ur side and have no change after a month and still donno how to resolve, then don wait its time to Contact Google for such problem and lastly Reevaluate it and proceed.

The reason behind such drop can be...

1. Due to spam.
2. No quality contents and links.
3. If page doesn't crawl.
4. If the site doesn't have any updation and being static for along time.
5. Due to duplication of contents.

many webmasters and companies complain that google dropped their pagerank during their last update. This is not a surprise, i expected this.

This is because in past years Pagerank became source of income for many people. Webmasters and companies was buying and

selling links from high pagerank pages. This led to lot of scam issues about selling fake pagerank and collecting money

(giving promisses to submit link on popular websites that has high pagerank). Many SEO companies used to offer “Pagerank

Increase” services. Most directories began to sell links to low quality websites.

But almost all forgot that pagerank is the credit given by google to rate the quality of website and only the google can mess with it.

But dont be upset!..... These can be fixed to an extent. For this I can give few suggestions:

1. don’t buy links anymore.
2. don’t try to sell links anymore.
3. remove your account from link markets like PayPerPost, Text-Link-Adds, and more.
4. Don’t exchange links with unlimited amount of websites. Exchange your links only with related quality websites.
5. Remove link exchange pages from your website.
6. Remove pages like “buy link”, “become sponsor”, “advertise” from your website.
7. Remove all links you don’t like from your site
8. Don’t link adult, casino, illegal, low quality websites.
9. Use “nofollow” tags for all sponsored links.
10. Don’t offer any services like “high pr links” or “increase pagerank”.
11. Try not to post on your site how cool you are because you Pagerank is…
12. Work more with your content to bring natural backlinks.
13. If your site already listed in hundreds directories try something else and don’t submit your link in 500 more directories.
14.Take a look on successful competitors and try to bring your site to their level.

If you follow all this steps your business will come back to normal in a little while. It might take several pagerank

updates, but your site will recover if you do everything right…
