Normally, there are only two methods, one is free and the other is not.
The easiest way is to search the number in Google. Try entering the cell phone number into Google's search box like "xxx-xxx-xxxx" or "(xxx) xxxxxxx" and press search. Most of the time, you may be amazed by what you find. Sometimes, you can even get the owner's birthday, education, and employer.
Not all the phone number's information is online. So sometimes you may need a paid service, which has a much more complete database. There are a number of paid services (which I don't recommend unless Google can't find what you're looking for), but make sure you use one that has guaranteed results.
