I think it depends upon the SEO work you do.... Have u tried submitting articles on various site?
It depends upon the quality of ur page and ur site

Every 3 months google page rank gets updated. so, u should have patient to rank ur site.

The google checks the quality of ur sites depending upon ur site natural backlink, contents,pages etc...

So, if u have such things in ur site ...u can easily get good pagerank for ur site.
