Do search engine cloakers really generate lots of hits to your web site?
Are they okay to use with search engines such a google?

Cloaking is a very old spam tactic used to gain traffic. It doesn't work with search engines any more or we can say atleast with yahoo and google. MSN I feel it works still but its not recommended since 90% you can expect your site to be banned.
