include files and search engines

Post by GoodSusan »

Hi there I have a few include files on my website which contain some images and key alt tags and keywords which I have included to help with my search rank.

Dose anyone know if search bots search these include files of do they skip right past them, meaning that the include files are not doing me any good.

Example: <!--#include file="ifheads.asp" -->

Your include files are already parsed by the server and only the html part of the code is rendered to the browser. use a text only browser to see what a search engine sees on your site.

or just view the source of your mozilla browser. What you see is what a search engine crawler like googlebot sees.
