Comedy Movies

All about life| 1 Comment »

Recently I watched two movies “Hot Shots (Deux)” and Euro Trip. My god never get to watch such comedy movies all the time. Ususally if some movies is released in our county it would be either a horror or science fiction or fantasy movies. But now the trend is changing. Crowd is becoming a little more knowledgeble. A very few used to like English comedy. Nothing to be blamed ,  we are so used to the slops stick comedy day in and day out that we have been watching in every regional movie in our country. Now a days there is good response from the crowd for romantic comedy, and much lighter subject movies.

I just couldnt believe Hot Shots(Deux) was such a comical subject. I have been laughing till my stomach started aching and tears started running down my face. It was really Kewl. :) Euro trip was not as good as Hot Shots but I still enjoyed it, instead of a movie it could have been a series. But to mention the truth the silly comical staits were really enjoyable. And the song “Scotty doesnt know” featured throughout the movie was really catchy. I enjoyed the character of Travis Wester who is exposed as the loser, but gets to have all the fun. We will talk about Hot Shots, in my next post…

Mysterious Places - The Nazca Lines

Myth and Mythology| No Comments »

The Nazca lines are enormous drawins on the ground. That stretch across the Nazca desert in Southern Peru. They show more than three hundred geometric patterns, spirals and animals. The lines are so vast that they can only be seen properly from a high altitude. The lines were first noticed when commercial aeroplanes began to fly over Peru in the 1920’s. Most experts agree that they were made by the Nazca Indians who lived in the region between 300 BC and AD 800. But there are many questions yet to be answered about them. One such questions is, Why were the pictures made and how are they so precise, if their makers had no means to view them from the sky?

Ramya - Buddy in College

Pages of my life| No Comments »

I should tell you about Ramya. Her real name is Subbulakshmi(mind my spelling), but she never liked to be called so, except for the academics purpose. My world is small, and for the first time I met someone who has been so dynamic and highly self motivated and intelligent.  She loved albums by Savage Garden and now Darren Hayes.  In case, she was crazy about him all the time talking about how handsome he is. She loves solving crossword puzzles in daily newspaper. Participating in Qui, Dance competitions were her other hobbies. Everyone liked her because of her appearance; she was petite in looks, like a tom boy next door.  Where ever she was the place used to bubble with laughter. Cranking Jokes all the time it was a huge 3 years we spent together in College.

I will tell you how she has added fuel to my life. She was the one who taught me to communicate. She introduced me to the hobby of reading books, listening to pop music, at that time I knew only five English songs, you won’t believe that a big deal in my college days.

Get Down – Back street boys

Everything I Do – Bryan Adams

Mysterious Girl – Peter Andre

Sexy Eyes – Whig Field

Lemon Tree- Fools Garden

Getting along was pretty easy for us.  Both of us were Capricorns, we had a lot in common, highly optimistic in nature, we loved pop music and much more. Both of us worked for our life it’s not something that common in India in 1990s to take care of your own life at the age of 17-21 yrs. The first book that she introduced me to read was “The other side of Midnight” – by Sidney Sheldon.  My mind blowing first novel that I ever read in my life.
