Search Engine genie is growing and the number of employees keep adding each week, we could see new faces often and slowly they get included in the list of our office buddies. In Search Engine Genie, we all work like family and welcome new joinees to join and grow along with us.

Here I go with the news now! Our content team is growing and we have got a new content writer into the team. I am happy to welcome Mabel Selvarathnam and wish her happy working here…

Importance of content for search engine optimization is well known by our MD Mr.Vijay and that is the reason he had recruited another resource to support our growing needs. It’s great to be a part of Search Engine Genie which is an esteemed organization that is seen as a role model for many growing companies.

All Busy with Shuttle Matches!

Off late, guys and girls of search engine genie are too busy with their Shuttle Matches. These matches are going on for the past few weeks and last week we were able to find Kusuma Reddy coming out as the winner of Women’s Singles Shuttle. We had started the preliminary round when we had a sporty outing to blue lagoon before a few months.

Guys are on with their matches and have not reached the finals yet… Yeah Draggy

Girls have already hopped on to the next event- Women’s Doubles Shuttle. Girls were coping up big time with their partners and few of us were crossing our fingers so that they don’t knock their partners head with the bat! Oops!

What a fun was it to see girls hopping, beating, falling, and shouting and off course chit chatting as they watched others play? And Guys were like- Dude we need to win this match! We tough boys…. Grrr…!!!

We were able to play a few Shuttle matches in the empty ground near our office this time. It’s rather unfortunate that we were not able to use the Nehru indoor stadium this time…

Christmas party at Contempo Technologies PVT LTD

Contempo technologies PVT LTD has planned to celebrate Christmas party in a big way. We are making great preparations for it. Every year Christmas is a special day for us and we do our best to prepare for it. Contempo technologies believe every important occasion should be celebrated in a big way. For us the month of December is a month for celebrations. Business is slow at Contempo tech during the month of December because its festival season in US and other western countries where Contempo Tech has Business. For us Christmas party is important and we celebrate it by sharing sweets, gifts and having a get together. Everyone enjoys that day some guys do dances and other crazy stuff. Others will act something. Last year Contempo technologies Christmas party was a highlight. We had the party in our company terrace. Lots of new comers were there to enjoy the celebrations. Contempo technologies PVT LTD is one of the most forward company when it comes to partying. We give equal importance to everyone and treat everyone equally.

Last year in Contempo technologies Christmas party everyone did a great job. It was awesome to see girls and guys volunteer to do everything they were assigned to do. Work is always fun at Contempo. We the employees of Contempo tech are proud to work in accompany like this.

Search Engine Genie enjoyed a weekend ghoulish fun for Halloween

GHOSTS, ghouls, witches and zombies walked inside office over the weekend as Search Engine Genie celebrated Halloween. The preparations were going on for the past two weeks for the object making and for dress up and everyone presented exceptionally well in both. Halloween in the office is an annual team building, employee morale boosting celebration that is fun for all involved.But, Halloween celebrations in SEG brought their own set of challenges for some of the employees, as a few of them got scared seeing colleagues’ costume and performance.

Although Halloween is meant to be a festive day, for some employees it could be more frightening than fun. Our CEO came dressed up as reptile monster. Everyone was speechless with shock and amused to see the boss crawling. Most of them were unique in their Halloween costume and it all started with the display of Halloween objects of each team. At 7 in the evening every person who wore a costume performed on the stage. The fellow audience roared with laughter at the act and sight of the costume-wearers. Most of the employees were in black outfit to look eerie, some of them donned scary masks and ghoulish gowns while others painted themselves.

The highlight of the day was our boss himself dressed up as a Reptile Man- Monster” and among the girls Ms Jyothirathna who flaunted as a “disfigured witch” and grabbed the first prize “It was altogether a real fun and exciting experience showcasing talent as well as team building. Last but not the least cannot wind up our Halloween story without mentioning Dhanyaraj who dressed up as a witch with a garland made up of real chicken heads and head of a goat on her one hand….The whole SEG team was stunned to witness her parade

Optimize Your Work – Entertainment Balance

As a part of our work we have entertainment daily for 1 hour intended for our mind relaxation which is based on optin or optout basis. As our MD is a person who not only optimizes sites but also feels optimization of work and entertainment is also very important. Monday’s are fully dedicated to work. Tuesday are known as Music Tuesday’s were we have dhumsharads and anthakshary with film songs. Every Wednesday is Known as Debate Wednesday were we have two groups one talking for the topic and another talking against the topic. Some of the topics which we had were, Science a boon or bane to society, Co-education good or bad to this generation, Human Rights and Love marriage vs arranged marriage. Thursday’s are considered as Dance Thursday’s were we are being taught different varieties of dances such as salsa and many more. Alternate Friday’s we have assorted games which is also treated as a get-together for all the employees.

Bob Delozier Treat at Liu’s Waldorf

As a part of our dedicated work and appreciation, one of our esteemed clients Bob Delozier offered a lunch at Adyar’s Liu’s Waldorf restaurant on which is one the Chennai’s oldest Chinese restaurant run by a Chinese family who originally started it. The entire Contempo family enjoyed the lunch, thanks to our special entertainers like Ms. Gana Kuyil Vanetha who made us laugh with her amazing ice cream eating styles! The entire restaurant was filled with howls and laughter and this was an awesome unforgettable Saturday. Thank you for the treat Delzier, we are really privileged to work with you.

Running Mad in Blue Lagoon

Finally last games Saturday we ended up outdoors in Blue Lagoon at 3 p.m., unfortunately the climate was sultry but we managed to catch some fun. As usual everyone was split into groups. Although we planned to have four games, we had time to play only one “Catch Me If You Can!” Of course the boys had most of the fun running around especially our tireless ATO hunk. However some of the girls managed to outrun the guys and most girls said to themselves; “Why Boys have all the fun!”. When the game came to an end, the entire gang was panting with no energy to play further. Thanks to our HR who got us permission to have some fun in the beach. The guys were enjoying their swims and gals enjoyed the salty breeze and wetting their feet as the sun was setting.

New policy – another step forward

What is the new smile in the core members’ faces? Why is that the reception telephone keep ringing? Employees in the reception keep reporting to the HR about the phone calls and why is the HR’s face lit so brightly? All these questions keep wriggling in the minds of the other employees who are not aware of the company’s new policy. To all those who did not know about the recent ‘happening’ thing in our company, Search Engine Genie recruits external employees. Here external employees shall mean free lance writers from the city who will be paid for the contents they write for the company. We have a recruiting team that is strong which will be followed by the evaluation team.

Search Engine genie is known for its quality contents and there is a strict scrutinizing that is happening to select the best among those who have applied. The content writers of the company are contented with the new policy of the company. That is quite obvious from the extra effort of niranjan and vanitha helping out HR with the recruitment. With one advertisement in a newspaper, the numbers of phone calls were unbelievably many. Let’s be happy in the development of our company marching towards the Optimum level.

Practice sessions did not teach just dance

Search Engine Genie had its best days in the practice sessions of the cultural evening. The cultural day was a success and all the speculators who watched, had the amazement of how the programme was full of life. They were more amazed when we told we scarcely had time for practices. When Boss had told about the cultural extravaganza it was all fine. The participants list went around pages. But once it came for the serious sessions, the players and the participants were in the air. The practices started in the morning which demanded extra efforts and many alarm clocks around. Our HR Nikita was motivated continuously to attend.

Our Boss Vijay Sir, talented and interested in dance and dramas will be ready before all employees leaving others to feel guilty of their commitment. But till we entered with bare foot into the field of dance, we did not understand how rhythmic it can be and how wonderful it can turn our days. Drama practices in the evening were amazing with loads of fun guaranteed. All this gave us a lesson; nothing can be enjoyed unless you take an initiative to enjoy it. Many stuff to write on cultural events. Wait and watch the fun.
