Yes identical sitewide links do count. For example a huge site has lots of PR4, Pr5, PR3, Pr2 pages then definitely all links will count. Especially if the pages of site that link to a site has good quality links by its own then definitely its going to help a lot. For example Our site Search Engine Genie has a lot of very popular pages apart from our Homepage. Pagerank 10 sites list, google rank checker, yahoo rank checker, SEO blog all has its own quality and if a site gets sitewide links from Search Engine Genie I bet its gonna count a lot more than just 1 or 2 links.
