Google has now chosen EI Solutions to build up a 1.6 MW solar power system for the Mountain View location. The array needs to produce enough electricity to power 1000 California homes, but would generate only 30% of Google's power needs. Savings would only be around $393,000 per year or $30 million over its lifetime.

The system costed Google $3 million dollars, but it would pay for itself within 15 years according to EI Solutions.
