Yahoo Inc. is now planning to launch mini-sites for more than 100 popular brands in 2007, and it will be the collection of social media sites called "brand universe".
This site within Yahoo will serve as an online social destination for fans of games, movies and other products to congregate and share and connect with each other. Yahoo is now hopping that their brand universe will drive more traffic and advertising revenue to sites.
