I have a testimonial video that I uploaded to my youtube channel. I also would like to post it to my site. Does it make any difference for seo if I upload video to my site or use an embed link from you tube?

I think you should also upload this video to your website in the place of using embeded link from YouTube. With a video people will easily understand about your business and products.

the most commonly used method to embed video today is via the Flash player and an .flv file which is provided via an external host, such as YouTube.
