Don't Forgot Senior Players

India`s ``winningest`` captain in both Tests and One-day internationals started his career in 1984-85 in a spectacular fashion, setting a world record by scoring a century in each of his first three Tests. A dashing, wristy and elegant Hyderabad batsman, Azharuddin now forms the backbone of the Indian middle order batting. His wristy flicks, glances and drives are a veritable feast for the eye, and once in the groove he can be utterly unstoppable. Among other accomplishments, he used to have to his credit the fastest century in one-day cricket, scored against NZ.

Mohammed Azharuddin was an outstanding cricketer who held an excellent record in both Tests and limited overs game. He was a graceful right-handed batsman whose fluid batting style was similar to that of Englishman David Gower. He proved hostile towards spin and medium-pace attack, peppering the leg and off-sides with his classic wristy-flicks and timed stroke play.Azharuddin was also known for his agility on the field with dazzling catches, amazing diving stops and nippy run-outs. Azharuddin was even a great leader and his captaincy enjoyed tremendous success.

So I Sure Its Mohammed Azharuddin Alone......

My choice is obviously Gangulee... A very challenging and aggressive cricketer from India in form of a Classy Batsman, Good Fielder, Pretty Handy bowler and all sporting spirit. He is also one of the best openers for the limited over games.

Plz don’t go for Dhoni… even he looks bit smart now.. at the age of 30 he will surely look alike Symonds or like Viru…..

Ganguly is a left-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-pace bowler, Smart and handsome guy. Good and aggressive in captaincy and he also called as “Tiger of Bengal”. His fans call him as “DADA” means big brother. He is the seventh Indian cricketer to have played 100 Test matches.

[1] He is currently the 5th highest overall run scorer for India in Tests.

[2] He is the fourth Indian to have played in more than 300 One Day Internationals.

[3] In terms of overall runs scored in ODIs, Ganguly is the second among Indians after Sachin Tendulkar (who has the highest ODI runs in the world) and the fourth in the world.

[4] Ganguly has scored 15 centuries in Test matches and 22 in ODIs. He is one of only seven batsmen to score more than 10,000 runs in ODIs.

[5] Ganguly was the captain of the Indian cricket team from 2000 to 2005. He led India in a record 49 Test matches and is the most successful Test captain of his country (India won in 21 of the 49 test matches that Ganguly led)..

[6] He also led India to the 2003 World Cup final against Australia.

[7] Following an exit from the national team in early 2006, Ganguly was recalled to the Indian test side in December, staging a successful comeback in the 2006 - 2007 Indian tour of South Africa

[8] Under his captaincy players like Yuvraj singh, Dhoni, Sehwag, Kaif, Zaheer khan, Pathan and many more come up in team and now they are best players of Indian cricket team. He always supported his team.

In 1999 World cup Ganguly smashed 183 against Sri Lanka at Taunton, the innings took 158 balls and included 17 fours and 7 sixes. It is the second highest in World Cup history and the highest by an Indian in the tournament.

There have been many moments in Dada’s cricketing career where circumstances tried to pushed him aside and tried to tell that he is not a good enough Test batsman on the basis of his inability to face the short-pitch stuff. But Dada is usually a title for the man who has seen all of this and still gets ready to see the storms of life again with the same attitude. Despite his hot and cold streaks Ganguly is only the third Indian Test match batsman to maintain a career average that never dipped below 40 runs per innings for his entire Test career. The other two who achieved this feat are Sunil Gavaskar and Mohammad Thudding.
