For years I've seen a free as well as flowing stream of information and suggestion about how to build links, along with as the engines have enhanced detection of the junk, the better link builders sustained to succeed while those who sold crappy services to crappy content ran for cover. At least three of the most trustworthy link building strategy started wobbling and in some cases failed from top to bottom in 2007: article marketing/syndication, directory submission, as well as paid links. It's not that these tactics aren't potentially still useful, but rather that the come within reach of you will have to use for each will have to be customized, in some cases even discarded...
