Pages of your website containing excellent content mean lots of good pages linking back to your home page. You might already know that it is important to have web pages with quality content link back to your home page. The internet search engines think and rightly so, that if web pages carrying good content link back to your site, then your website must also be relevant. Also, if your pages have some informative content other webmasters will too link that page on to their websites. Very soon you will have a massive interlinked network!

This shows that the quality of content is more important than the quantity of content. If you have optimized with well meaningful and relevant textual content, then more visitors will visit and the search engines will find it and the webmasters eventually prefers to link it. If the websites content is not so good, then the visitors won't visit or read it and the search engines can't make out what you are trying to mention and hence eventually ignore it and the webmasters won’t link it back.
