Always use immediate language as internet is here to stay:
Be active:
Always use active verbs in the present tense: So instead of:
Lot of comments was received by us
Say
We received lot of comments.
Be positive:
Always be upbeat. If you say:
Due to high number of comments we receive, we can’t respond to every email.
It makes your respondent feel why bother? It’s better to say:
We read customer’s comments with interest, even though we cannot respond individually. Thank you for helping us in making this a better site.
Be direct:
Go to clubs to make friends, have fun and learn.
Is easier to understand than:
If you want to make friends and you are a fun-loving sort of person who likes learning, then click on the club button at the top of the page.
