Yahoo Position Checker: this tool helps you to check the position of your site in Yahoo Search Engine. Why use Yahoo position checker when you can actually find your site through Yahoo search directly?

Our rank checker decreases your burden a lot by avoiding digging through 100s of websites. Regular users of our tool are well aware that the position checker is a very good tool to check rankings for your website. Our tool checks and gives you the exact position of ranking your website is ranking in Yahoo search results. When you do a manual search its difficult to see where your site is hiding and its difficult digging through 100s of sites. We know being a SEO company how difficult it’s to manual check yahoo and get the rankings.

The more and better quality your back-links are better your website ranks in top search engines. This tool shows your back-link data from various important sites like Google, Yahoo, MSN, Alltheweb, Altavista etc. Today ranking in top 3 search engines means a lot to most of the websites. We show back-link data of all the top 3 search engines here. Note: Google back-link data is not so accurate Google shows much better list of back-links when you check the data using Google webmaster tools. Our tools just checks back-links using Google search which is not accurate. Back-link data we get from Google is just an estimate of what back-links you will have for your website. For a more accurate Google back-link data use Google Webmaster Tools. Website popularity is an important factor in your search engine ranking.

OutBound Links Checker Tool: this tool will give you the top 10 URLs whom you are linking to form your website.

Mod rewrite Rule Generator Tool: This tool helps to rewrite long complicated URLs with multiple query strings into short URLs more ideal for search engines. Most of the search engines today don’t understand complicated URLs with too many parameters. Our tool will rewrite all the parameters and will make the URL look like an html URL or a directory type URL which search engines like to crawl. Though Google is much more sophisticated now and can crawl complicated URLs, Google is not the only search engine out there. So it’s important to keep your website search engine friendly for most of the search engines.

Content To Code Ratio Test Tool: Though not the best tool at search engine genie still I consider this tool a cool tool. This tool was long term pending development but after we released it we were surprised to see the massive response we got from regular and new users of this tool. Every day 100s of people use this tool and they come back to our website to use it regularly. This tool crawl a website and separates the ratio contents with code on a web page. Some search engines are keen on seeing how much text a website has and this tool is ideal to get that information. For added benefit we also give out the percentage of text on the webpage.

Analyst says Google, search ads
face tough quarter

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Internet search, which has so far served as a dependable source of growth for online advertising, could possibly see its first-ever sequential decline in the first quarter of next year, according to a Wall Street analyst.

That in turn will be a likely drag on Google Inc.'s revenue, Citigroup analyst Mark Mahaney said in a note to clients Monday.

Mahaney said that he's sensing "nervousness" about the first quarter of next year, which could mark "the first negative sequential growth quarter ever for search."

Google itself does not issue internal financial guidance.

On a day of broad gains for technology stocks, Google shares rose more than 7% to $304.28.

Mahaney said that Google is likely "acutely aware" of global economic trends, thanks to the data devoured through its popular search service, noting that searches for the keyword "Downturn" have quintupled recently.

In anticipation of tough times ahead, Mahaney noted that Google has made "significant" cost cuts including layoffs of temporary employees.

Longer-term, Mahaney said Google is likely to come out of the current recession with an even firmer lead in the online search market.

Still, Mahaney wrote that Microsoft remains "unlikely to seriously challenge Google in search."

Forum Thread of the Week:

Content, Writing and Copyright

Can I copy “Country Profile” details to create content?

COMMENT 1: I’m wondering if there is a free source of "Country Profile" material on the web which is free to use as content on sites (BBC have a good resource). I say this as writing profiles for over 100 countries will involve lots of research as well as time to write. I see many sites with country profiles and I’m sure they aren’t original. I’m looking to build quick easy content (please no insults for this last comment!)
Anyone have any experience with this? Cheers!

COMMENT 2: I think its a bad idea purely because you are unlikely to rank well with unoriginal content.

Plus while there are many thousand of 'country profiles' about, they are all written for different reasons, and different audiences, and a borrowed one - legal or not - is unlikely to be wholly appropriate for your site.

I'd recommend doing it for your site, your audience.

Who gains by having yet one more identical profile? You might as well simply link to an existing page!

Having said that, you can use the content from Wikipedia, provided you comply with their attribution rules (links on most or all Wikipedia pages).

COMMENT 3: Anything about the country would be beneficial as it would be a resource for my clients. Of course I would do a little tinkering with the content changing it here and there; however, I would not be aiming at getting high rankings for these pages. Just a resource. And a little help from Wiki to help me along the way.

You mention simply linking to an existing page. I would want these pages branded with my name and of course as content for my site. This whilst building content is good for all I think?

COMMENT 4: The CIA fact book is also free of copyright, being a US Govt. publication in the public domain. They have a page that explains this. Be careful of the duplication problem.
