"Froogle" is a combination of the words "frugal" (thrifty) and "Google". Froogle was launched in Beta on December 12, 2002. Froogle is a new service from Google that makes it easy to find information about products for sale online. Now there is no need for your customers to browse the entire web looking for a specific item. They can just go to froogle and all the items available for sale will be listed there.

Froogle indexes specific products from a multitude of e-commerce sites on the web. The search results include a picture of the item for sale (if available), the price of the item, the store where the item is for sale, the category, and a brief description grabbed from the store's site.

Based on the Google algorithm and database, Froogle enables your customers easily find specific products for sale all over the web. The normal process for being listed on Froogle is that you must first sign up with an account through Google.
