Sellers are ensured along the side of the title within the brackets that this information will not be shown to the purchaser. This information is required by google to verify the sellers business and their details too.

Sellers have to start with filling up business profile their current sales volume per month and the order they are estimating, both in dollars. Sellers are asked to provide their company's tax ID or their social security number and credit card. The main of collecting this information from sellers is to facilitate safe dealings between buyers and merchants. By making this google ensures a positive user experience for everyone.

    • Merchants will be asked to provide specific financial and other information when they sign up for Google Checkout, however, they'll also realize a number of clear profits as a result.

    • If sellers provide bank account information, they can enjoy the expediency of having their payouts direct-deposited.

    • When sellers provide their Federal Tax ID/ Employer Identification Number (EIN) or Social Security number and credit card, they'll help Google verify their identity and conduct credit history reviews as needed so they can start processing dealings and receive their payouts more speedily.

    Google also assure that:
    • If sellers provide one credit card it won't be charged in the normal course of business. Google will only charge sellers card if they incur a chargeback (A chargeback occurs when a buyer disputes a transaction with his or her credit card issuer) or other service fee and don't have sufficient funds from seller's sales or in their bank account to cover these fees

    • The Social Security number and Federal Tax ID/EIN provided by merchants are strictly for Google's use in helping them in sign up for Google Checkout. Under normal business circumstances, this information won't be used for governmental tax purposes or other actions outside the range of the Google Checkout program.

    • Google confirms that it is committed to preserve the security of merchant's information and also will not share their information with anyone except under few limited cases as described in privacy policy.

When merchants finishes giving the complete true information i.e. credit card, The Social Security number, Federal Tax ID/EIN etc. They can click the save and continue option. Google will refer to the information given. After this process gets over, the merchants will enter Public Information section, here the seller needs to give the product detail and the other detail which can be viewed by the buyers.

Filling up these details the merchant becomes the member of this association and can carry on the trade process. Google Checkout will integrate with merchant's website, enabling the customers to buy from the merchants rapidly and securely, using a single user name and password. And once the google checkout does it, the sellers can use Checkout to charge the customers credit cards, process their orders, and receive payment in seller's bank account.

Lengthy checkout processes aggravate online shoppers who then frequently abandon their shopping carts. When sellers store accepts Google Checkout, their clients needn't be among them. The purchasing information of every Checkout user is stored in a single account, so they can buy from merchants by simply providing their username and password.

There is a wonderful scheme for the merchant that is 'AdWords'. For every $1 they spend on AdWords, they can process $10 in sales for free through Google Checkout. For example, if they spend $1,000 on AdWords last month, this month they can process $10,000 in sales at no cost. The more they expend to endorse their business through AdWords, the more they save on deal processing fees with Google Checkout.

If Sellers exceed their free transaction processing for the month, or if they don't advertise with AdWords at all, they'll only be charged 2% plus $.20 per transaction.

Google Checkout merchants can sell with complete confidence. Checkout proactively identifies and sifts out fake dealings, and under Google Checkout Chargeback Resolution policy, it assesses all chargeback's Merchants receive and, whenever possible, fights them on their behalf.

Some transactions are also covered by Google Payment Guarantee policy: if merchants get a chargeback on an eligible transaction and give google all requested documentation and information within 10 days of the request, google will repay the merchant within a week.

There is a Google Checkout Developer's Center, where merchants will find all the information and resources they'll need to integrate their website with Google Checkout.
