MSN entertains
MSN joins hands with Volvo to produce a new web series called “the Office” which will have Craig Robinson starring as a driving School instructor, which will be first showed on MSN on the 15th of this month. MSN was very keen in involving itself in the project when it was approached by the producer Mr.Reveille. 18 months before MSN came into business with Reveille for this project and MSN later inclined the idea and the subject to Volvo, which is financing the project. Volvo’s marketing campaign is well known and if this couples with the growing MSN, there is no doubt that this project and the future projects will turn to be a mass success.
Google sets Web History
Google is all set to create histories, and up setting up of Web History is just a step in their mission. Google sets its eagle eye on everything that we do online. It has become possible with the newer service called Web History which tracks each and every web site that we visit. With its successful experimentation in America, Google released Web History across the globe in 26 languages. The service has many exciting provisions like creating tabs on web page histories and helping to provide more results based on histories. Just an installation of software will lead to get availed of the service. Google’s Analytics tool restored
Since last Saturday, the search giant Google Inc. has started to update reporting in all Google Analytics accounts. It is well known that many Google Analytics accounts were affected by the data blackout. Data blackout is nothing but a ‘temporary reporting delay’. But there was no reason about the delay said in the blog of Jeff Gillis, Google Analytical member, which primarily gave the whole news. Many users are blaming these low performances due to the great upgrade of the company last may. Taking into account of these Petty problems, Google tries to soothe many users, by restoring its tools.
Yahoo appoints Telecommunicate as its new director
Yahoo seems to take up the area of telematic communications in a more refined way. Maggie Wilderotter is appointed as a new director of Yahoo Inc. by Jerry yang, Yahoo’s founder. The telecommunications veteran is been selected to excite the Sunnyvale portal. Widerotter is the chairwoman and CEO of Citizens Communications Co. which is renounced for the provision of telephone and Internet service in more than 20 states. In building up her career, she was involved in AT&T Inc., McCaw Cellular Communications Inc. and Microsoft Corp where she became successful. She is not new to communications as she was widely involved in Wink communications, an interactive television start up. With a strong background, Wilderotter is yet to encounter a lot of challenging and exciting assignments in the days to come with Yahoo.
Live Search club takes MSN to heights
NEW YORK — MSN’s Live Search saw sizable growth in June fueled in large part by Live Search Club – a gaming promotion unit is a part of MSN which as introduced in April. Google tunes Turing Award
Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) announced that Google officially joins Intel in funding the association’s high-status award, the Turing award. The joining of Google also promises an exciting opportunity for the computing professionals aiming the award. The cash prize is upped from $100,000 to $250,000. Google has engineers all over the world under them and no wonder the president of the ACM, Stuart Feldman, is also the vice president of engineering at Google. Mr. Stuart is happy that the contribution of Google has made the award more prestigious. This will surely encourage the budding computing professionals.
MSN creates history in Profitable Search Marketshare
MSN creates gains in a minor rate. But the remarkable thing is that the profits are against the profit rates of Google and Yahoo. This must be an exciting rise to the whole of Redmond as this small but powerful victory has come across their path after years together. The Good news to the MSN has come from the ComScore results which reveal that Google has a drop of 1.2% and Yahoo drops down at 1.3%. MSN gains at 2.9% rising. Microsoft Sites has got an amazing experience with a noteworthy increase in search query volume, up 36 percent and search market share as told already.

Yahoo honors a bud
A young girl in Topeka is honored by Yahoo for her concern and the care for the fellow human beings and environment. Jaide Ramirez-Jennings is a girl from Topeka who started her philanthropy at the age of five. She started her KICKs (Kids in Care of Kids) at the age of 5 encouraged by her parents. She showed her concern to the environment by selling 900 re-usable bags and that formed a great deal. Amazed Yahoo gave her the “Purple Act of Kindness” award and had her photo all the day. It is good that these nascent philanthropists are encouraged.
