Search Engine Giant Gives Access to Trends API

Google will finally offer programmers access to API for its Trends analysis tool, which will allow users to insert the tool in their applications or the users can even download the data from the application for personal use also. Google’s Vice President of search products and user experience, Marissa Mayer said that the company’s likes for APIs and Trends users’ requests will be able to insert data culled from Trends in a spreadsheet and have the ability to manipulate it. For instance, users will be able to develop spreadsheet comparing Trends data from previous and present years. Marketers can also customize their own Trends analyses to find new patterns, ideally to better target users with services and products.
