Google tunes Turing Award
Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) announced that Google officially joins Intel in funding the association’s high-status award, the Turing award. The joining of Google also promises an exciting opportunity for the computing professionals aiming the award. The cash prize is upped from $100,000 to $250,000. Google has engineers all over the world under them and no wonder the president of the ACM, Stuart Feldman, is also the vice president of engineering at Google. Mr. Stuart is happy that the contribution of Google has made the award more prestigious. This will surely encourage the budding computing professionals.
