Google’s New AIM Instant Messageing Service

The search engine giant Google has recently integrated AOL’s most popular AIM Instant-Messaging-Service in Gmail’s web based email customer. Since February 2006, Gmail has its own chat service, but now users of Gmail will be able to connect to AIM via drop-down menu on Gmail’s web page. Now Gmail users can simply sign into AIM via ‘Set Status Here’ menu, Gmail chat and AIM contacts will be displayed on the same menu. For now, Google said that this feature will be available in English; later AIM access will also be available in other language versions also. Google also added that, they are always looking for new and useful ways to help Google users to connect with their family, friends and coworkers.
