New product for YouTube to be launched soon by Google
Schmidt also stated getting the video service to make money is actually the Web search company’s top precedence for the year. He didn’t disclose details of the products, anyhow, and they are not even in first, or beta, testing. Google in brief sold search advertisements on rival Yahoo previous month, while Microsoft was trying to obtain Yahoo 😉
Schmidt said the two-week test provided good reason for the companies to discuss cooperation, but there was no deal yet. “We view the test as successful,” he told reporters before the Web Company’s annual meeting. “That’s a good basis to talk to Yahoo some more.”

We all know that these two companies are been negotiating the deal but then no clue on how fat the deal is done. The two week testing of advertising program is also been done last month. Using Google’s software, other than its own, could boost Yahoo’s earnings and fend off another gaining attempt from Microsoft. Actually, part of the cause Microsoft dipped its bid for Yahoo was may be because Yahoo was so fast to edge up to its main contestant and get all cozy.

“We’ve withdrawn the offer and moved on, and now are focused on how we grow as fast as possible organically,” Hall said, speaking at a Merrill Lynch technology conference. Pressed further on the statement, Hall said Yahoo would have helped in the e-mail business worldwide–and in the instant-messaging arena in the United States, in particular.
Microsoft might look for alternate deal
Microsoft Corp might now look for a mixture of deals after moving away from Yahoo Inc, but some would be complete enough to let it confront Google Inc’s power of online advertising. When Microsoft Chief Executive Steve Ballmer called off talks with Yahoo on Saturday soon after the Web Company discarded his $47.5 billion offer, he gave up what he and his investors saw as the best method to grow rapidly in marketing and online services to take on market head Google.
